Nutrient Management 2 is an advanced-level course from the University of Florida’s Greenhouse Training Online program where you will formulate your own fertilizer from individual salts, diagnose nutritional problems, and take corrective actions.
Nutrient Management 2 (Advanced) is taught by Dr. Paul Fisher, creator of the Greenhouse Training Online program. Join the more than 580 graduates who have said the course “provided a treasure trove of information from differentiating abiotic and biotic disorders, to nutrient recipe production, to common visual symptoms of nutrient deficiencies and toxicities to interpreting tissue and nutrient analyses” and appreciated the “ability to access an extremely knowledgeable instructor and receive feedback on work.”
Course participants will:
- Learn pH management factors, including:
- Lime
- Nitrogen form
- Root substrate
- Species
- Water quality
- Learn how to convert fertilizer units
- Learn how to formulate a fertilizer from individual salts
- Learn how to diagnose plant nutrition problems and take correct actions
The course runs from Sept. 16 to Oct. 11, 2024. All course material is completely online and available at any time of the day. It includes pre-recorded videos, an interactive discussion board with Ph.D. professors, and quizzes. Course material is available in English and in Spanish, and two new modules are activated each week during each course, for a total of eight learning modules.
