Garrett Wilson found the end zone in the first quarter of the New York Jets’ 32-25 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday and celebrated accordingly.
Aaron Rodgers connected with the wide receiver on a 22-yard pass with 5:01 remaining in the first. It marked Wilson’s first touchdown since Halloween against the Houston Texans.
Wilson dropped the ball and proceeded to rub his arms, mirroring a celebration done by Chelsea’s Cole Palmer.

While Palmer is not the first to perform this celebration, it has gained widespread attention because he does it every time he scores. The England midfielder has 33 goals in the past two Premier League seasons.
He first did the celebration in December 2023, explaining it as a nod to his former Manchester City academy teammate Morgan Rogers.
“It symbolises joy, passion and hard determination for the game plus it’s funny as it works well with my name,” Palmer, nicknamed “Cold Palmer,” said. “Everyone knows it’s my celebration. Lots of people might have done it, but everybody knows it is my celebration.”
Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young has done it in the past, too — notably after hitting a deep 3-pointer against the Boston Celtics during the 2024 playoffs. He’s also nicknamed “Ice Trae.”
While on Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George’s podcast in August, Young revealed he came up with the celebration while in the basement with his friend and that he “didn’t get it from nobody.”
Though his inspiration is unclear, Wilson stayed cool after grabbing his sixth touchdown of the season.
