A specialist in high-end aluminum components for the perfume, cosmetics and spirits markets, g. pivaudran has inaugurated a brand new automatic anodizing line on November 22, 2024, in Souillac, in the south west of France.
Reducing the environmental footprint
This new facility enables the company to double its current surface treatment capacity while reducing water and electricity consumption by a third and chemical substance consumption by 40%. It meets the needs of brands for global launches involving the production of several million pieces.
“Our investment is consistent with both the company’s growth strategy and the industry’s CSR transformation strategy. It is the largest investment ever made since the creation of g.pivaudran and, in this sense, it aims to meet the challenges of eco-responsible development that our sector faces,” says Marc Pivaudran, President of g.pivaudran.
The new line, which required an investment of EUR 7.5 million, is based on a structure of 28 tons of steel and 700 m3 of concrete. It includes 80 tanks (3,000 liters), 12 coloring baths and treatments that generate less waste. The new equipment will gradually ramp up and should be fully operational during the first quarter of 2025.
In 2026, g.pivaudran will benefit from a connection to a wood-fired heating network developed in the town of Souillac, thus allowing the site to no longer consume fossil energy.
Targeting sales of EUR 40m in 2028
Founded in 1948, the company is expected to achieve a turnover of 28 million euros in 2024 and is targeting 40 million euros by 2028-2029.
Chanel, Hermès, Cartier and the LVMH, L’Oréal and Puig groups are among g.pivaudran’s historic clients, with 80% of its sales currently in the perfume category, 18% in the cosmetics category and 2% in spirits.
