BYU women’s basketball coach Amber Whiting is out after three seasons with the Cougars, the school announced Saturday.
Whiting had an overall record of 45-51 since taking the job before the 2022-23 season. BYU was 13-17 this season, going 4-14 in its first Big 12 campaign.
The Cougars played in the WNIT in 2023 and WBIT in 2024, but the school finished under .500 each of the past three seasons.
BYU becomes the third Big 12 school to lose its women’s basketball coach in the past three days, along with Houston and Arizona State.
The Cougars said associate head coach Lee Cummard would serve as the interim head coach.
