Commanders' close win leads to jabs aimed at Saints, topping NFL Week 15 trolls

There were a handful of close finishes in Week 15 of the NFL season, and one of them prompted a strong troll.

The Washington Commanders held on to defeat the New Orleans Saints 20-19. The Saints went down the field to make it a one-point game as time dwindled in the fourth. New Orleans then opted to go for a 2-point conversion and the win.

However, Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler’s intended pass for tight end Juwan Johnson was broken up as time expired, giving the Commanders the victory.

Washington opted for multiple trolls after the win, editing a viral video and poking fun at the traditional spiritual “When The Saints Go Marching In” song.

Here are more of the top trolls from Week 15.

With a whopping 1,080 combined yards between the two sides, the Buffalo Bills emerged victorious against the Detroit Lions.

Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen had 430 combined yards and four total touchdowns, while Detroit quarterback Jared Goff threw for 494 yards and five touchdowns. There were only three possessions in the second half that didn’t end with points.

After the game, the Bills targeted the Sonic and Knuckles nickname of Lions’ running backs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery.

The Denver Broncos fell into a 10-0 deficit with 14:49 left in the second quarter, then outscored the Indianapolis Colts 31-3 the rest of the way.

Denver — which had just 193 yards of offense — forced five turnovers, including a 50-yard fumble recovery touchdown by Nik Bonitto in the fourth quarter. Broncos quarterback Bo Nix threw for 130 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions. Colts signal-caller Anthony Richardson had 172 passing yards and two interceptions.

In a battle between horse namesakes, Denver poked fun at Indianapolis’ mascot postgame.

The Texans’ defense took over against the Miami Dolphins, forcing four turnovers in Houston’s second straight victory.

Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud had 131 passing yards and two touchdowns, both to receiver Nico Collins. Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa struggled with three interceptions.

Houston went way back with its troll, posting a clip of Jim Carrey as the “Crazy Dolphins Trainer” in “Ace Ventura.” The Texans also referenced the Dolphins’ namesake in the caption of one of their posts.

The Dallas Cowboys’ defense came alive with four turnovers forced and 235 yards allowed against the Carolina Panthers.

Dallas has won three of its past four games as quarterback Cooper Rush threw for 214 yards and three touchdowns. Panthers quarterback Bryce Young threw for 219 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

The Cowboys had a subtle cat-themed troll after the win.

A low-scoring Thursday night game ended in a Los Angeles Rams victory against the San Francisco 49ers.

Neither team reached the end zone, but the Rams went ahead in the fourth quarter thanks to three field goals from Joshua Karty. The 49ers had just 191 total yards plus one turnover.

Los Angeles went with multiple jabs postgame, stuffing San Francisco’s famous pregame speaker in the trash. The Rams also followed a Roman Reigns “Niners gang!” post with a photo of the Rock, who confronted Reigns during WWE’s Bad Blood event in October.
