Gothictown by Emily Carpenter (Kensington, March 25)
If horror has taught us anything, it’s probably this: if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Clearly, Billie Hope hasn’t read enough horror novels. When she gets an email offering up a Victorian home in Juliana, Georgia, she jumps at the opportunity. At first, Juliana is everything Billie and her husband could have hoped for, and it seems like the perfect spot for her to open up her new restaurant. But the longer Billie spends in the seemingly cozy southern town, the more she wonders if Juliana’s charm hides something sinister…and if she will ever be able to leave.
