puRe Twist, the refillable stick by Hyléance Beauté

To mark its entering the world of beauty packaging, plastic transformation expert group Hyléance chose to dedicate its resources to refillable solutions.

Guided by the 3R rule – Recycle, Reduce, Reuse –, the Hyléance Beauté division offers three standard references in its puRe range for various applications: puRe Stick for targeted applications in sun care, deodorants, face care, or makeup, puRe Roll-On, suitable for liquid formulas, and the new puRe Twist, recently unveiled at the Paris Packaging Week show.

With its mechanism similar to that of lipstick, puRe Twist can adapt to many solid applications: sun care, deodorants, moisturizers, hair care, masks, highlighters, blushes, or even solid foundations. The bullet is cast on a material which makes it easy to use right from the insertion, and ensures protection and full dispensing, without any waste. Only the ring is disposed of, thus reducing the quantity of plastic to be recycled by 90%. And depending on the size selected, the product can come in a square or round shape.

When a can turns into a refill

Swedish startup Meadow designed its refill with the most recycled circular packaging type: the aluminium drinking can. The Meadow Kapsul solution is made from recycled and recyclable aluminium. It transforms cans into refills pre-filled with a liquid formula. Associated with a reusable dispenser which the brand can customize, the system ensures easy refilling with a latchless rotary opening mechanism which reduces raw material consumption. The manufacturer also highlights an easier industrial packaging process, compared to flexible ecorefills.

Ball Corporation, a global leader in sustainable aluminium packaging, recently announced an investment in Meadow to broaden the use of aluminium cans to new applications on a global scale. At the Paris Packaging Week 2025, the startup also received the Certificate of Excellence in Packaging Innovation in the Concept of the Year category for its technology.

Magic Slide, the ultra-luxury gesture brought by the Pochet Group

Either for a balm, a concrete or an eyeshadow, Pochet designed an addictive gesture for its new high-end, refillable compact Magic Slide. The magnetic cap can be opened with one hand and a simple thumb gesture. Also, no tool is needed to integrate the refill system, and the product can be designed with plastic or metal.

With the same intuitive one-handed gesture, the Smooth Slide is a similar version, but with no magnet, and this time the cap is invisibly attached and slides on to open and close the case.

A new perfume spray generation

In the perfume category, manufacturer Aptar Beauty followed the travel trend to unveil Nomad Refill, the first 10-ml bag spray to be refilled directly from the bottle fitted with a screw neck.

Fast, leak-free, safe filling is achieved without accessories, thanks to a patented integrated connector. This gesture consists in unscrewing the pump, and then screwing the connector located on the lower part of the Nomad Refill, on the bottle. Then, it should simply be turned over. Refilling is done with a gentle tug, and stops automatically when the bottle is full, leaving an expansion space to avoid any risk of overfilling. The system helps control the quantity of perfume transferred to prevent any waste.
