The French global provider of flavours and fragrances announced on Thursday, February 20, that Samantha Mane has succeeded her father, Jean Mane, as the Group Chairman. Samantha Mane, 40, will be the first woman to take the helm over the company.
Mane, the world’s fifth-largest company in the sector, is the only international player that has remained a family-owned and independent business. The company was founded in 1871, more than 150 years ago.
“It is with great enthusiasm and pride that I take on this new responsibility today. I’m thrilled to continue this family-run entrepreneurial adventure and to lead a group with such a wealth of human resources and spirit of innovation,” said the new President.
“Our independence and family ownership have enabled us to have a long-term vision and make bold choices for 154 years. I want to build on the Group’s roots, values, creativity and high standards that make us unique, and continue to uphold our commitment to the environment,” she added.
Samantha Mane joined the group in 2006. In 2016, she took the helm of Mane’s Europe Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region, the Group’s largest regional market. Under her leadership, the region more than doubled its sales between 2016 and 2024. Her father, Jean Mane, ran the Group from 1995 to 2024.
